CHANDIGARH is a city in INDIA that serves as the capital of the two neighbouring states PUNJAB and HARYANA. City is unique as it is not a part of either of the two states.
  

            

            The Indian Punjab required a new capital city to replace LAHORE, which became part o PAKISTAN during the partition. Therefore, an American planner and architect Albert Mayer tasked to design anew city which was later on called "CHANDIGARH".
            English is sole official language of CHANDIGARH. But majority of people speaks Hindi.

                   It was designed by a french architect. Chandigarh is divided into sectors. All the streets are wide and are surrounded by trees. The City Beautiful Chandigarh has been declared the third cleanest city in the country. Chandigarh city has most number of park than any other city in India.

ROSE GARDEN 

Rose Garden is situated at sector 16. It is a blooming garden which showcases nature at its best. It has an exquisite variety of flowers which makes it popular among nature enthusiasts and tourists. Rose Garden is largest garden in ASIA of its kind. It is also known as ZAKIR HUSSAIN ROSE GARDEN.

                   Rose Garden is said to be home of 825 varieties of flowers. A beautiful fountain is also placed in the midst of the garden. Rose garden is said to be most famous tourist place of Chandigarh.

ROCK GARDEN

       The Rock Garden has been designed using urban and industrial waste. It was built in 1957 by Nek Chand single handidly in his spare time. It has a total of about 5000 statues. The rock garden is one of the prime attractions of Chandigarh. 

SUKHNA LAKE

           Sukhna lake is a beautiful lake nestled at the foothills of Shivaliks. Sukhna Lake is a man made lake stretching for a distance of 3 kilometers. It serves as a best locations for morning joggers and walkers.
